Please note, we are changing the search times for Saturday and Sunday!
Thank you to all who volunteered today! If you were unable to come, but prayed, shared information with others, commented on news stories on-line, or donated food, water, or office supplies, thank you too!!
It is a tremendous blessing to have KlassKIDS Foundation here! We are amazed at their organization and their knowledge of how to run these ground searches. It is fantastic to watch a group like this do what it does so well.
We had a great turnout for a Friday, but we need lots more people Saturday and Sunday in order to get this area thoroughly covered. Because of the cooler weather expected the next couple days, we are opening up the search times. We hope that flexible times will mean more people will be able to make it out. So, tomorrow, Saturday August 18th, and Sunday, August 19th you can come to 2440 Glendale Lane, Sacramento ANYTIME between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM. Searchers must be over 18 and have a photo ID. We will search until about 7 PM so as to be back to headquarters by dark and to allow the homeless to settle into their camps undisturbed. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and bring sunscreen and/or a hat. It is also helpful if you can bring garden/work gloves and walking sticks.
2440 Glendale Lane?
It was great to be out there today! I’ll be back tomorrow.
I recommend long pants, long sleeved shirts, long socks, gloves and hats. Even though it is hot, it protects your skin from sun, bugs, and scratches from branches and berry bushes. We walked through a lot of thick brush.
Yes Karen, 2440. Thank you! We corrected it.
I would like to sign up to help search for Linnea on September 8th as posted in the Sacramento Bee…
