An Apology

Wonderful Volunteers! Those of us at Help Find Linnea would like to take a moment to apologize for a couple things.  Aside from the Private Investigator, all of us working on this effort are volunteers.  None of us have experience managing an organization this large that was built from the ground up in a week.  We are doing our best to make the search for Linnea as efficient as possible while dealing with the emotional toll affecting us all.  In many cases we have not been as efficient as we would like to be and we are making efforts to improve.  We continue to ask for your patience while we determine the most effective way to utilize your time.Additionally, there have admittedly been limited and sometimes confusing updates coming from our headquarters.  Many times we make a decision based on our need to contain certain information that may jeopardize a lead were it to be made public. Also, the search effort is a dynamic thing, what we believe to be true at one moment, may not turn out to be true upon further investigation. We have added new content to our FAQ page which lays out the facts of the case as we currently know them to be.  Hopefully this will help clear up some of the confusion. The FAQ page will also give you more information on why we do not make all leads public.  We promise to make better efforts to keep you updated and in return ask that you be understanding that we can’t release all of the details all the time. The family and all of us want only one thing, to see Linnea safe and cared for.The search continues and we remain hopeful and optimistic that Linnea will soon be in a safe place

You are all doing a wonderful job in spite of extremely difficult circumstances. We as volunteers and concerned citizens appreciate updates because we care about Linnea and want to do what we can to help.

But your focus just needs to be on helping Linnea. You do what you need to do for her safety. I’m sorry you’re feeling the stress of trying to help Linnea and trying to respond to criticism from the public.

Your priority is helping Linnea. We will keep praying for that and help as we can.

I was there searching yesterday and I was glad to be able to help in person. There seem to be so many “possible / maybe it was her” sightings that I can understand how hard it must be to try to confirm them, let alone post them. Sacramento is a huge area to cover and follow up on leads, and now Woodland. And we are just a bunch of volunteers whose knowledge of detective work mostly comes from TV.

Ditto what Karen and Amy said. We all continue to pray for you and Linnea. Coming public with her time line and sharing deep and personal information about Linnea had to be hard, but I believe it was driven out of love. And you had succeeded. We have all fallen madly in love with Linnea and pray she comes home soon.

God Bless this family beyond their wildest dreams!
